“Aperture” follows acclaimed British photographer Richard Wilding as he returns to Saudi Arabia after 14 years to revisit the landscapes, people, and traditions he once documented. Through his lens, we witness the profound transformation of a nation: culturally, socially, and physically.

Traveling across regions such as Jeddah, Jazan, the Farasan Islands, Aseer, Rijal Alma, Faifa, Diriyah, and AlUla, the film offers a powerful before-and-after perspective of the Kingdom’s evolution. As Richard reconnects with former collaborators and locals, the story unfolds not only as a reflection of national change, but as a personal narrative of rediscovery and cultural appreciation.
