A Carpet Weaving Documentary Inside a Traditional Workshop
Tabriz is known worldwide for some of the most valuable handmade carpets, prized for their intricate knotting, fine silk and hand-dyed wool.
In this carpet weaving documentary we filmed inside a traditional workshop, where artisans design, dye and knot thousands of threads by hand to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Some carpets in the shop are valued at over $20,000.
The film is part of our Intangible Heritage series of documentaries, which follow traditional crafts that are still thriving today.
