Shuttered Dreams: A Documentary About Hope
Shuttered Dreams is a documentary about a gym teacher in Kabul whose life changed overnight when the Taliban took control of the city in 2021.
Filmed one month later, it shows her gym closed and her students gone, along with the other passions she has had to put aside, from sport to photography.
Even with fear and uncertainty around her, she still finds the strength to smile and hold on to hope. Her story is a moving portrait of resilience in a restricted life. See more of our documentary work.
