Breef Sandwich hired us to cover Arabsat in Riyadh: two interviews and a full set of staff photography, all in one day. A tight scope like this is common, and it is easy to get wrong by treating the staff photography as an afterthought. We ran a three camera setup with a DOP, a gaffer, a sound engineer and a producer, and Breef Sandwich directed on set so every answer matched the client branding. Both jobs ran from the same day and the same crew, which is what kept it quick for everyone in the building.
If two interviews are going to sit in the same film, they need to look like they belong together. We lit both to match and kept the backgrounds consistent, so the cut between them does not jar. Sound is the other half of it. An office keeps working around you, so we placed the setups away from the loudest walls and ran lavaliers with a boom as backup.
Staff photography works best when nobody has to rearrange their day for it, and nobody should have to give up an afternoon to be photographed. We kept one lit position running and brought people through a few minutes at a time between meetings. The result stays consistent: every portrait shares the same light and the same background, which matters when they sit together on a website or a wall. All of it was delivered by the end of the day.
