Filming Saudi Artist Hayfa Algwaiz Ahead of Her London Exhibition

Stock Stop Media filming Saudi artist Hayfa Algwaiz in her studio

Stock Stop recently filmed a short interview with Saudi painter and architect Hayfa Algwaiz ahead of her upcoming exhibition at Gallery44 in London.

Based in Riyadh, Hayfa has developed an artistic practice influenced by architecture, memory, identity and our connection to different places. Her work explores spaces and the personal experiences and emotions attached to them.

Her work has been presented in Saudi Arabia and internationally, contributing to the growing recognition of contemporary Saudi art around the world.

Documenting the Story Behind the Art

For this production, our team filmed a short interview report introducing Hayfa, her creative journey and the ideas behind her work.

The interview gave us an opportunity to hear directly from the artist and understand the experiences that influence her creative process. Through the conversation and supporting visuals, we aimed to capture more than the completed paintings. We wanted to document the thought, craftsmanship and personal perspective behind them.

Our team prepared the lighting, camera equipment and interview environment carefully, creating a comfortable setting in which Hayfa could speak naturally about her work and upcoming exhibition.

Capturing the Creative Process

Hayfa’s background as both an architect and painter brings a considered sense of space and structure to her work. Her artistic practice explores themes connected to memory, identity, absence and the experience of place.

To support the interview, our team also filmed details of the paintings and the environment in which the work was created. These supporting visuals will help audiences understand the relationship between Hayfa’s ideas, her creative process and the finished pieces.

Filming the artwork up close also allows its textures, colours and details to become part of the final story.

From Riyadh to London

Hayfa’s upcoming exhibition at Gallery44 will bring her work to a London audience, creating another connection between Saudi Arabia’s growing creative community and the international art scene.

The exhibition will give audiences an opportunity to experience her work and discover the ideas behind it in a new setting.

We look forward to seeing Hayfa’s work presented in London and sharing the completed interview.
