Stock Stop handled filming and post-production for منشن باي أريج (Mention by Areej), a podcast about football and the players who define it. Working as production partner alongside Trigon and Areej, we built the shoot inside the client’s own space and delivered every episode from multicam edit through to motion graphics and social cutdowns. This is how it came together.
The space already existed. That was the starting point and, in many ways, the interesting part of the brief. Rather than building a set from nothing, our job was to look at a room and find the podcast inside it. We moved furniture, tested angles and worked out where the conversation should actually sit. Microphones were chosen not only for how they sound but for how they look in frame, because on a podcast the equipment is part of the design whether you intend it to be or not. The client brought logos and set assets that lifted the space further, and we advised on placement so that every element landed cleanly in shot rather than fighting for attention.
Once the room was resolved, we lit it and set five cameras. Five is a deliberate choice for a conversation-led show. It gives the edit somewhere to go: the wide that holds the room, the singles that carry each speaker, and the angles that let a reaction land at the moment it happens. A good podcast edit is built on having the right frame available at the right second, and that is decided long before anyone sits down.
In post, we built the visual language of the show. We created the motion graphics package from scratch, including the intro, the title sequence and the lower thirds, all designed to match the theme and tone of the podcast rather than sit on top of it. Then, per episode, we delivered the full multicam edit, a promo to drive the release, and three shorts cut for social.
As for the guests, the series has brought some of the most recognisable names in Saudi and international football into that room. We will not spoil which ones. A few episodes are out now, including the second, and they are worth watching for yourself on Areej’s YouTube channel, @Areejun.
