When a delegation travels to represent the Kingdom on a global stage, the record of that presence needs to be ready almost as fast as the event unfolds. For the BIO International Convention 2026 in San Diego, Stock Stop delivered full-day event photography coverage for the Saudi Health Council, with edited and RAW images handed over the same day through Frame.io. This is a short account of how we approached the assignment and why fast, reliable delivery matters at an event of this scale.
The BIO International Convention is the largest gathering in the biotechnology and life sciences calendar, drawing around twenty thousand industry leaders, investors and policymakers from more than seventy countries. For the Saudi Health Council, it was an opportunity to showcase the Kingdom’s role in global health, meet stakeholders and build partnerships. Our task was to make sure none of that visibility was lost.
We placed a professional photographer, Gaspard Bason, on the ground in San Diego for the day. The brief was broad by design. Coverage needed to move fluidly between the formal and the candid, capturing the Saudi Health Council booth, the delegation’s participation in sessions and meetings, visitor engagement, networking moments and the wider atmosphere of the venue. Gaspard arrived early to document the booth setup and the exhibition environment before the floor filled, which gave the final set a clear sense of place and build-up.
Working an event like this well is a matter of anticipation rather than reaction. The most valuable frames, a handshake between delegates, a visitor leaning in at the booth, a speaker mid-point, tend to happen once and quickly. Our approach was to stay close to the delegation throughout the day, read the schedule ahead of each session and remain flexible as the programme shifted, so that the important moments were captured as they happened rather than staged afterwards.
What set this assignment apart was the turnaround. A selection of priority images was ready within hours of the coverage, so the Council had strong material to share while the event was still live. The complete package, professionally edited and colour corrected, along with all original RAW files, was delivered by the end of the same day. Everything was transferred through Frame.io, which gave the client a single, secure link to review, download and distribute the images with full usage rights across their official communications, digital platforms and reports.
For a delegation with a packed schedule and a story worth telling in real time, that speed is the point. The images were not simply archived for later. They were ready to work the moment they were needed.
