Production services in Saudi Arabia means making someone else’s film possible. An agency or a production company arrives with a director and an idea, and what they need locally is a crew, equipment, access and a post pipeline. QP Media brought us in on exactly that basis for a high end advert for THC and Al Hilal.
We supplied the concept, the crew, the equipment and the post production. The director on set was theirs.
What production services in Saudi Arabia actually covers
Crew who have worked together before, camera and lighting packages that match what the director is used to, transport, permissions, and an edit and grade afterwards. The point is that the visiting team should be able to think about the film rather than about logistics.
Serving someone else’s vision
This is a different discipline to running your own shoot, and the ego has to go. The director has a picture in their head and our job is to put the right people and the right kit in front of them so it can exist. Decisions that are theirs stay theirs.
Get the kit right before anyone lands
A visiting director should not discover on the morning of the shoot that the lens they planned around is not in the country. We confirm the package in writing well in advance, and we hold backups for the things that stop a day dead if they fail.
Post is where the handover usually breaks
Agree early who is cutting, in what software, at what resolution and who holds the rushes. Most of the friction on jobs like this happens after the shoot, not during it, and almost all of it is avoidable with one conversation beforehand.
“The director has a picture in their head. Our job is to make it possible, not to change it.”
